In March and April 2015, Klaus Dürbeck was on a Technical Assistance Mission for the Export Coaching Programme (ECP) of CBI in the natural ingredients sector of Pakistan. The project is aiming to build the capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the sector to increase exports of locally value added natural ingredients. During the mission Klaus Dürbeck and local colleagues visited and audited seven participants of the project.
CBI has been active in Pakistan since 2008. Its current project portfolio has primarily focused on assisting Pakistani enterprises through Export Coaching Programs (ECPs). Besides the ECP activities, the CBI is actively advising government administrations, sector associations and various Trade Support Institutions (TSIs). Providing access to trade intelligence and awareness of the opportunities and threats associated with international trade, the CBI technical assistance activities are strengthening the capacity of (SMEs).
