IN2NI expert Josef Brinckmann receives ABC Champion Award

Josef Brinckmann, IN2NI expert since 2014, has received the American Botanical Council’s 2016 Champion Award. This award was created to recognize individuals who have been outstanding supporters of the American Botanical Council and helped the organisation to promote and achieve its nonprofit education mission.

Mark Blumenthal, founder and executive director of the ABC, praised Josef’s contributions to the council: “This year we acknowledge Josef Brinckmann for investing an immense amount of his personal time and energy in providing ABC with his extensive knowledge and global experience to support ABC’s numerous educational publications and programs.”

Josef was deeply appreciative of the recognition of his work: “I am genuinely grateful for the opportunities given to me over the years to research and write about the plants in support of ABC’s educational mission.”
